German Speaking Course in Frankfurt

For expats living in Germany who already understand a fair amount of German but still hesitate when speaking. Many learners reach a point where they can follow conversations, but struggle to react spontaneously, search for words, or switch into German naturally in everyday life.

This course is designed for adults with previous knowledge of German from approximately A2 to B2 who want to become more active, fluent, and comfortable when speaking.

Especially suitable for people who:

• understand more German than they actively use,
• work mainly in English and rarely speak German during the day,
• feel stuck on a language plateau,
• want to improve pronunciation and speaking flow,
• want to feel more relaxed in conversations and social situations.

Learn Through Communication, Not Through Textbooks

No textbooks, tests, or traditional classroom drills.

The course focuses on active communication from the beginning. German is used directly in meaningful interaction rather than analyzed abstractly.

Participants work through:

• guided dialogues,
• spontaneous conversation,
• listening and response exercises,
• pronunciation and rhythm work,
• roleplay and real-life speaking situations,
• interactive group activities.

The course develops dynamically based on the participants and their communication needs. Everyone is encouraged to participate at their own level without pressure to speak perfectly.

The PDL Method

The course is based on the PDL Method (Psychodramaturgie Linguistique), an immersive and communication-centered approach to language learning.

Language is learned through active use, emotional engagement, listening, repetition, rhythm, and interaction. Instead of memorizing isolated grammar rules, participants experience German in situations where communication has a real purpose.

This helps strengthen:

• speaking fluency,
• listening comprehension,
• pronunciation,
• spontaneous verbal reaction,
• confidence in conversation.

Many participants notice during the week that they begin reacting faster, translating less internally, and speaking more naturally.

Pronunciation and Spoken Fluency

For many expats, pronunciation and spoken flow are among the biggest challenges in German.

The course therefore places particular emphasis on:

• sound and rhythm,
• sentence melody,
• connected speech,
• listening accuracy,
• speaking without overthinking every sentence.

Through repeated speaking and listening in authentic interaction, pronunciation often improves naturally over time.

A Supportive Learning Atmosphere

The learning environment is focused, personal, and supportive. Small groups allow close attention to individual participants and create space for active speaking.

The goal is not perfect German, but clearer, more confident communication.
